For a more traditional, laid-back experience, there are countless parks for people to take a stroll, go for a run, rollerblade, or simply play a game of catch on the grass. Head indoors to Scheels Iceplex, Eastway Bowl, Sanford Fieldhouse, Midco® Aquatic Center, or Frontier Climbing & Fitness for indoor recreation. That, or head to one of the numerous fitness centers to run on treadmills, take part in an aerobics class, or lift some weights. 

Not only is Sioux Falls deemed one of the healthiest cities in South Dakota, it’s considered one of the healthiest cities in the entire country. This is due in part to residents prioritizing preventative care appointments but could be also be attributed to the healthy resources available. Not only are there several fitness groups that meet regularly, but there are also groups focused on health and wellness.
