You know the type: the aunt who dishes you a huge serving of lasagna despite your protests or the co-worker who complains when you turn down a slice of birthday cake. Some may think they're looking out for your health, while others could feel jealous and tempted to sabotage your efforts. If you don't want to go into the details of your LAP-BAND® System, your best defense is a firm "Thanks, but no thanks." Or you can explain a little and just say, "I'm trying to lose weight and would like your support." If the person continues to be a problem, you need to confront him or her with how the actions are affecting you and your health.
