Eggs: Easy, Delicious Protein

One egg offers six grams of protein-great news for your body, especially when you're losing weight and exercising. Why? If you eat too little protein, your body will start mining your muscles for the stuff. Eggs are also easy for most LAP-BAND® System patients to eat, from the mushy stage onward. Some easy egg ideas:

  • Prepare eggs using low-fat methods like boiling, poaching, or "frying" them in a nonstick pan using cooking spray instead of butter.
  • Add in soft-cooked veggies, low-fat cheeses (like feta, Parmesan, or cottage cheese). And even tender cooked meat.
